Q3. What makes Rilex Energy different from other brokers?
- Rigorous verification of buyers and sellers
- Industry-leading anti-fraud protocols
- White-glove client support
- Deep industry network and knowledge
- No upfront fees or gimmicks — only serious, verified deals
🔹 Working With Us
Q4. How do I get started as a buyer or seller?
To begin, complete our Onboarding Pack, which includes:
- NDA/NCND Agreement
- LOI (Letter of Intent)
- Full KYC (Know Your Client)
- Proof of Logistics & Financial Capacity
Q5. Do you work with mandates or intermediaries?
Yes — if you can provide a verifiable Mandate Appointment Letter and clear Chain of Title. All intermediaries must respect our due diligence requirements and our Non-Circumvention Agreement.
Q6. Can I get a soft corporate offer (SCO) or proof of product (POP)?
No POP or sensitive documentation is released without verified logistics and funding. This protects all parties from fraud. SCOs may be provided after KYC and LOI review.
🔹 Security & Fraud Prevention
Q7. What is your anti-fraud policy?
Rilex Energy follows a strict “No Documents Without Proof” rule:
- No verified logistics = no POP
- No verified funding = no deal
- No mandate letter = no intermediary rights
We regularly uncover fake POPs, altered documents, and shell mandates. We terminate any engagement the moment fraud is suspected.
Q8. How do you verify readiness and capacity?
Buyers must submit:
- Storage contract or lifting schedule
- Valid vessel or terminal access
- Financial instrument (POF/LC/SBLC/DLC)
Until these are reviewed and authenticated, we do not proceed.
Q9. What happens if someone tries to scam or impersonate?
We immediately blacklist the individual or entity and alert other industry contacts. Our internal fraud flag system is linked to multiple broker networks and intelligence tools.
🔹 Products & Commodities
Q10. What commodities do you handle?
We facilitate transactions for:
- Jet Fuel (Jet A1, JP54)
- Diesel (EN590, D2, AGO)
- Gasoline (PMS)
- Mazut (M100)
- Crude Oil (Light Sweet, Bonny Light)
- LNG, LPG, and others upon request
Q11. Are your suppliers genuine?
Yes. Every seller is vetted through a multi-step verification process. We do not engage with paper traders or “allocation agents” without solid proof of title and allocation.
🔹 Payment Terms & Instruments
Q12. What payment terms do you accept?
Standard terms are:
- Irrevocable, Confirmed DLC or SBLC (MT700/760)
- Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC)
- Escrow arrangements (on a case-by-case basis)
- T/T for small or trial orders
Q13. Do you accept BGs, T-bills, or crypto?
No. We do not transact with cryptocurrencies, T-bills, or bank guarantees as primary payment methods. Compliance, traceability, and regulation are essential to our model.

🔹 Oil Conversion & Measurements
Q16. How do you convert metric tons (MT) to barrels (BBL)?
The conversion of oil from metric tons to barrels depends on the specific gravity (API gravity) of the product. However, here are industry-standard approximations:
Product | Approx. Barrels per Metric Ton |
---|---|
Crude Oil | 7.33 barrels per metric ton |
Jet Fuel (Jet A1) | 7.9 barrels per metric ton |
Diesel (EN590) | 7.45 barrels per metric ton |
Fuel Oil (Mazut) | 6.35 barrels per metric ton |
LPG | 11.6 barrels per metric ton |
⚠️ Note: These are estimates. Final volume depends on temperature, API gravity, and product specification.
Q17. How many metric tons are in 1,000,000 barrels?
Here’s a rough conversion using crude oil as an example:
1 barrel ≈ 0.136 metric tons
So, 1,000,000 barrels ≈ 136,000 metric tons
For exact conversions, we use the ASTM tables or terminal data at the time of lifting.
🔹 Shipping, Terminals & Storage
Q18. Which ports or terminals do you work with?
We facilitate deals via major global terminals, including but not limited to:
- Houston, Rotterdam, Fujairah, Qingdao, Bonny, Cotonou, Tema, Jebel Ali, and Antwerp.
We only work with terminals that offer verified tank storage, vessel access, and official documentation.
Q19. Can you help me source a tank or vessel?
We can assist with connecting you to verified storage providers and vetted shipping agents. However, you must still complete onboarding and prove readiness.
Q20. Do you offer FOB or CIF deals?
Yes. We facilitate:
- FOB (Free On Board) at verified terminals
- CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) for qualified buyers with verifiable shipping routes
- TTO/TTV (Tank Take Over / Tank-to-Vessel) upon full validation
Note: We do not engage in paper offers or fantasy logistics.
🔹 Quality, Specs & Certifications
Q21. What specifications do you provide for fuels?
All products include detailed specs per ASTM, GOST, or EN standards. You will receive:
- Certificate of Origin
- Quality Certificate (Q&Q)
- SGS or equivalent inspection reports upon request or lifting
Q22. Do you guarantee SGS inspection?
For qualified and verified buyers, yes. SGS or an equivalent third-party inspection is available during loading or discharge, depending on the contract terms.
🔹 Trial Lifts & Minimum Orders
Q23. What’s your minimum lift quantity?
This varies per product, but typically:
- Crude Oil / Jet Fuel: 1 million barrels (or 130,000+ MT)
- Diesel / EN590: 50,000–100,000 MT
- LPG / LNG: 25,000 MT
- Trial lifts may be accepted for serious buyers post-verification.
Q24. Can I request a sample or small trial load?
We do not provide “samples” of fuel. Trial contracts are accepted for fully onboarded and vetted buyers only. “Testing the waters” is not an acceptable reason for a request.
Q25. What documents are required to initiate a transaction?
For buyers:
- LOI (Letter of Intent)
- Company Profile
- KYC (Know Your Client) documents
- Proof of Funds (POF) or financial instrument (SBLC, DLC, MT799)
- Storage or vessel schedule (if applicable)
For sellers:
- Corporate offer (SCO)
- Product specification sheets
- Refinery or allocation contract
- Title ownership documentation
- Tank or export license (depending on product & port)
Q26. Can I see a sample CI or SPA before submitting documents?
No. Due to rampant fraud and spoofing in the industry, we only release full documentation after onboarding and verification of logistics + financial capacity.
Q27. How long does it take to close a deal?
A deal can close in as little as 7–14 days, depending on:
- The readiness of buyer/seller
- Vessel or tank availability
- Smooth communication and compliance
Some CIF deals or international routes may take 21–30+ days due to logistics.
🔹 Buyer & Seller Readiness
Q28. What is considered a “serious buyer”?
A serious buyer is one who:
- Submits all onboarding documents promptly
- Demonstrates financial readiness (POF or SBLC/DLC)
- Has secure, confirmed logistics (tank storage or vessel access)
- Does not request POP or sensitive documents prematurely
Q29. What happens if I don’t have a tank or vessel yet?
We may still work with you if you’re in final negotiations with a terminal or logistics provider, but no POP or SPA will be issued until full readiness is verified. We do not entertain speculative inquiries.
Q30. Can I use a third-party storage facility or chartered vessel?
Yes, but you must provide proof of usage rights, such as:
- Storage Access Agreement
- Chartered Vessel Details
- Terminal Authorization
🔹 Intermediaries & Broker Chains
Q31. I’m a broker — can I bring my buyer or seller to Rilex?
Yes — we welcome brokers with mandates or direct chain access. You must:
- Prove official mandate appointment
- Identify the end party in the chain
- Sign our NCND Agreement
We do not work with long daisy chains or “allocation hunters.”
Q32. How are commissions handled?
Commissions are structured in the SPA/CI and must be declared upfront. We do not work with vague commission agreements or retroactive fee demands. Everyone is protected transparently.
Q33. Can I hide my client from you?
No. We require full transparency. Hiding buyers or sellers leads to immediate disqualification. Our NCND agreement ensures no circumvention or misappropriation of contacts.
🔹 Financing, Escrow & Instruments
Q34. Can you help with funding or financial instruments?
We do not provide funding. However, we can connect qualified buyers with our network of licensed financial institutions. All costs must be paid directly to them — Rilex Energy does not act as a financial broker.
Q35. Do you accept escrow transactions?
In rare cases, yes. Escrow must be:
- Handled by a licensed third-party institution
- Mutually agreed upon by both parties
- Accompanied by proper documents
Note: Escrow does not replace POF or readiness verification.
🔹 Warning Signs & Deal Killers
Q36. What are red flags that kill deals instantly?
- Buyer requests POP before proving funding or logistics
- Fake or altered documents
- Long broker chains with unclear authority
- Disconnected emails (e.g., Gmail or Yahoo) from “refineries”
- No LOI, no KYC, no mandate — just a “buyer is ready” statement
- Pressure to release CI or SPA without capacity proof
Q37. What happens if I get flagged for fraud?
You will be blacklisted and reported across our partner networks. We maintain a strict fraud watchlist shared with brokers, mandates, and terminals globally.
🔹 Transparency & Trust
Q38. What is your motto?
“Verified. Vetted. Trusted.”
Every document. Every deal. Every party. Our golden rule: No verified logistics + no verified financial capacity = no documents. No exceptions.
Q39. How does Rilex Energy ensure secure communication?
- We use encrypted platforms for sensitive data
- We verify emails, IP addresses, and digital trails
- We operate under signed NDAs and NCNDs
- Our team documents all communication for transparency
